The Polytunnels of Anatolia

There were polytunnels from hill to hill

The whole of the valley was smothered by greenhouses and plastic covered frames. They are used for growing vegetables, mainly tomatoes, but in the summer they get too hot so they have to be emptied out and closed down. A few caretakers still live on the site, but it’s like a weird industrial ghost town.
