Off to Berlin to this thing here with the lovely The Great Park and Mute Swimmer. Yep, Hiawatha Telephone Company will be playing some songs too.
Pretty good to go if you're in town on Sunday. It'll be an early evening, bring your own beer, come down for a chat, free sort of thing
There were polytunnels from hill to hill The whole of the valley was smothered by greenhouses and plastic covered frames. They are used for growing vegetables, mainly tomatoes, but in the summer they get too hot so they have to be emptied out and closed down. A few caretakers still live on the site, but it’s like a weird industrial ghost town. See the photographs here
